Ani Banna19k, a OnePlus community member and an esteemed OnePlus 10 user, first brought attention to the battery drainage concern following the update to OxygenOS 13.1. The prominence of their complaint grew as other OnePlus 10T users shared similar experiences. In addition to the battery drain, users have also expressed concerns regarding delays in the notification panel, exacerbating their discontentment.
“Man, it’s such a bummer to see OnePlus, a company that used to be all about putting users first, dropping the ball on these problems,” Ani Banna19k sighed. “I had such high expectations for my OnePlus 10T, but this battery drain issue and the OnePlus software team’s complete silence have really let me down.”
Screenshots shared by affected users show an alarming rate of battery drain, with one example showing a 62% drop in 3 hours and 04 minutes. Another screenshot shows the same 62% battery drain in 3 hours and 14 minutes. These screenshots, along with a slew of other user complaints, highlight the issue’s gravity and urgency.
The OnePlus community is eagerly awaiting the company’s official response to the ongoing battery drain issue. A letter of candor has been sent to key OnePlus executives, including Winkey W. and the company’s co-founder, Pete Lau, urging them to address their customers’ growing concerns.
