Realme GT 5 official renders out; battery, fast charging and other specs confirmed

The Realme GT 5 is set to launch in China on August 28th, 2023. As we approach the release date, there have been numerous leaks and rumors circulating on the internet. The brand has also publicly released official renders of the device that showcase its design and some of its specifications, such as the battery and fast charging capabilities.

The renders reveal a metallic silver phone with a camera bump that contains two large camera rings and a translucent panel. One of the camera rings has two sensors, resulting in a total of three cameras on the back. Additionally, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 logo can be seen through the panel.

The camera bump also integrates a color-changing LED light, and the branding is vertically aligned on the bottom left side of the device. The Realme GT 5 may come with a 6.74-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and an embedded fingerprint reader. The company has also teased the inclusion of an independent X7 display chip to enhance video frame rates.

The front of the device could have a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calls, while the back may feature a 50MP Sony main camera (with OIS), an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and a 2MP macro module. The brand has also confirmed that the gadget will support a 240W GaN charger. While the actual battery capacity of the smartphone is unknown, we can expect a 4600mAh battery in the gadget.

Brands giving faster charging (higher than 150W) tend to cut down on the battery capacity to provide more faster charging experience and so, Realme is also expected to follow the same in their upcoming GT 5 device.

Don't miss out
