Many consumers purchased the device during the first few sales. However, a user recently reported on Twitter that their OnePlus Nord 3 smartphone exploded, causing several issues.

On Twitter, a user named @RiteshMee36153 shared a troubling incident where their recently bought OnePlus Nord 3 smartphone exploded while their 8-year-old child was using it. The user also revealed that the child experienced hearing loss and emotional distress due to the explosion. He expressed concern about who would take responsibility for their child’s well-being now.
The individual also shared pictures of the device, revealing the extensive damage caused by the explosion. Even the bedsheet in which the device was stored was burnt. The photos also show a swollen battery and severe damage to both the display and back panel.

At the moment, the brand has not addressed the incident and the root cause remains unknown. It is possible that it is due to a defect in manufacturing, but without an official statement, we cannot speculate further.
In addition, the user tweeted that OnePlus requested for the device to be submitted to them, which the user believes is an effort to destroy evidence. We urge OnePlus to promptly address this situation and provide appropriate compensation to the user.
