There has been much speculation surrounding an unrevealed Realme device for quite some time. While some reports suggest it will be released as the Realme GT Neo 6, others indicate it may be a different Realme product. Finally, official information has been released confirming the marketing name and launch timeline of the gadget.
Realme has confirmed that their new flagship phone for the Chinese market will be called “Realme GT 5.” The name was spotted at the brand’s booth during the 2023 China Joy tech exhibition in China. The brand has begun teasing the device in China, indicating that the launch will likely happen in August. Additionally, another device may be released alongside the Realme GT 5 smartphone – possibly the Realme GT 5 Pro.
Regarding the specifications, we currently do not have any official information available. However, there are reports circulating on the internet that allegedly disclose the device’s specifications. According to these reports, the Realme GT 5 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1.5k and support for a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Regarding the cameras, this device will have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a triple camera system on the back. The main camera will be a Sony IMX890 with 50 megapixels, featuring OIS support. Additionally, there will be an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The Realme GT 5 smartphone will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and can support up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The 4,600mAh battery version of the GT 5 will allow for rapid charging of up to 240W, while the 5,200mAh battery version will provide fast charging of up to 150W.
Regarding the GT 5 Pro, it is expected to come with several enhanced specifications such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a QuadHD+ curved AMOLED panel, and more. However, we will need to wait a little longer to receive further details about this device.
