Realme is getting ready to debut their Realme GT 5 smartphone in China. The gadget would be the brand’s flagship smartphone, with some of the best specifications available. It’d also be the first Realme gadget with up to 24GB of RAM.
The next Realme GT 5 smartphone’s early launch posters and images have been leaked on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. The leak not only exposes the likely debut date of the device, but also its characteristics and features.
An official post from Realme’s Weibo account indicates that the Realme GT 5 smartphone will be released in China on August 28th, 2023 at 02:00 PM local time. The picture also shows the future phone’s side with the title “Leapfrog,” a term that the firm has been teasing since last week.
Realme China President Xu Qi Chase has already stated that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will be used in this handset. It should be a powerful gadget in terms of performance when combined with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
In addition, well-known leaker Digital Chat Station published an image on his Weibo account showing the design of the future Realme GT 5. The image clearly shows that the device will have a full-screen display with very small bezels around the panel. It will include a punch hole cutout in the center for the selfie camera.
The device’s front design is extremely similar to the previously released OnePlus Nord 3 (or OnePlus Ace 2v).
As for the rumoured specifications, the device is expected to feature a 6.7-inches Super AMOLED panel with up to 144Hz high refresh rate support and 1.5K screen resolution. Under the hood, the device would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 2.0 storage.
Concerning the cameras, it would have a triple rear cameras with a 50-megapixels primary lens having support for OIS. There would be 16-megapixels selfie snapper. Further, the device will pack a 4600mAh battery with 240W fast wired charging support.
