Realme Buds Air 5 officially confirmed to launch in China on August 28th

Realme is preparing for a huge launch event in China. During the event, the company will unveil their flagship Realme GT 5 smartphone. The device’s specifications and capabilities have already been leaked on the internet, raising the level of excitement among devotees.

The brand has also confirmed the release date of the much-anticipated Realme Buds Air 5 TWS. On August 28th, 2023, the TWS would be formally released alongside the Realme GT 5 smartphone. The teaser image shows that it would appear quite similar to the upcoming Indian model of the Buds Air 5 (also teased).

The TWS can be seen in the blue colour variant with black shade inside. There would be one additional white colour variant as well.

Active noise cancellation (ANC) will also be supported, which can block up to 50dB of noise. This matches the ANC level of the Buds 5, which was released in China on May 5. For crisp calls, the ANC will be supplemented with six built-in microphones. For an immersive audio experience, the earbuds will also support Dolby Atmos.

Apart from that, we have no information on the impending TWS earphones. The Realme Buds Air 5 Pro, for example, includes an 11mm base driver and 6mm tweeter pair and supports Spatial audio and the LDAC codec. It also has a 40-hour battery life (with the case), is water-resistant, and supports Bluetooth 5.3 for seamless and stable connectivity.

Even though the Air 5 will have somewhat reduced specifications compared to the Air 5 Pro, the difference will be minimal. Given the latter’s total specs sheet, one may easily obtain a notion of the expected features.
