OnePlus is preparing to release the OnePlus Nord 3 smartphone. It has been about 2 years since the official launch of the OnePlus Nord 2, so it’s time for the brand to introduce its successor. We are already seeing multiple leaks about the device, suggesting an imminent launch.
The OnePlus Nord 3 appeared on Geekbench certification before. Now, just before the official launch, leaked renders of the smartphone have surfaced online. These renders show the complete appearance and design of the device. This suggests that the official launch is approaching soon.
Word on the street is that the Nord 3 might actually be a OnePlus Ace 2V in disguise, a device that was released in China earlier in March. If this turns out to be true, anticipate the Nord 3 to feature a spacious 6.74-inch display with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and a sharp resolution of 1240×2772. It would come equipped with Asahi Glass for added durability. The phone is rumored to boast a triple rear camera system comprising a 64 MP primary lens, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. For selfies, a 16 MP front-facing camera would be in place. Powering the Nord 3 would be a substantial 5,000 mAh battery with support for rapid 80W wired charging.
The OnePlus Nord 3 is expected to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 system-on-a-chip (SoC). It is rumored to come with a maximum of 16GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, should it turn out to be the same device as the Ace 2V. The operating system is anticipated to be Android 13 with OxygenOS 13 user interface layered on top.
The OnePlus Ace 2V’s base model costs 2299 CNY (about 324 USD). This is a fantastic value for 256 GB of storage and the Dimensity 9000 processor, although global pricing is typically more than in China. It’ll be fascinating to watch how they price it in the international market.
