OnePlus is actively developing the follow-up to the OnePlus 11, known as the OnePlus 12. The internet has been buzzing with renders and some of the key specifications of the upcoming device. Additionally, a recent leak suggests that the OnePlus 12 will feature a larger battery capacity than its predecessor.
The device would possibly launch in the Chinese market by the month of December and soon after that, the device would land in the overseas market. It has been claimed that the device will bring many substantial upgrades over its predecessor such as – a larger battery capacity, a newly added periscope lens, and much more.
As per credible sources, the device is expected to feature the same 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with QuadHD+ pixel resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz. However, this time, the display will have a centrally aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, a departure from the side punch-hole cutout found on the previous model.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 12 would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is yet to get unveiled officially. The SoC would be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
As for the cameras, the device would feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixels primary lens, a 50-megapixel secondary ultrawide, and a 50-megapixel tertiary periscope telephoto lens. Some rumors claim that the periscope would support up to 3X optical zoom. But for 3X, a telephoto lens alone is sufficient and periscopes are mainly for an optical zoom of up to 5X and 10X. The optical zoom part of the cameras is still a mystery.
On the form, the gadget will house an upgraded 32-megapixel selfie snapper. Further, it would boot up on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 right out of the box. The OnePlus’s legendary alert slider would be present on the device.
Now, coming down to the most enchanted part of the OnePlus 12, it has been said that it would have a whopping 5400mAh battery coupled with a 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. And most importantly, it would have a charger inside the box, unlike its competitors.
