India smartphone market unexpectedly declined in the first quarter of 2023. According to a report shared by Canalys, the Indian smartphone market experienced a full 20% decline in Q1 2023 compared to Q4 2022. Canalys states that one of the primary methods for achieving high sales in India is made through the offline sales. Samsung is able to maintain its leading position in the market due to its strong performance in both offline sales and after sales support. In contrast, Apple, which is striving to become a major player in the Indian smartphone market, struggles with offline sales as they sell Apple products as online mostly.
